Take Me to the Beach
Originally planned with a friend, I took the trip to Fort Myers Beach alone. The plan for this trip was simple, just to sit on the beach and soak up some sun, see some beautiful sunsets and try some food and drink at some establishments along the beach. Something unfortunate seems to happen every time I plan a trip to this beach, so I was looking forward to beating the "curse" and finally making it back here. I also wanted to take more pictures and videos this time, seeing as I usually just relax here, I take less photos when visiting.
Fort Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach is a lovely beach on the Gulf of Mexico. I enjoy going here to relax and take photos of the sunset.
La Quinta Inn
Not my initial choice, as I had wanted to stay on the beach, I eventually chose this La Quinta Inn, four miles from the beach, for the price. It was clean and the staff were very friendly!
La De Dah Beach Bar
A bar I visited a few times on the beach, part of the Margaritaville resort in
Fort Myers Beach.
Margaritaville
I wasn't staying here, but there are lots of food and drink options at Margaritaville, so I hung around the area.
Bella Mozzarella Pizza & Grill
I ate here twice during my visit this time. A burger the first time and pizza the second time.
Summerlin Cafe
Summerlin Cafe is a restaurant near the WalMart and Beach Park and Ride. I feel like I might have eaten here on a previous visit, but I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Beach Kiwanis Thrift Shop
This thrift shop is next to the Beach Park and Ride bus stop. Lots of nice donations here.
Beach Park and Ride
The Beach Park and Ride is the terminus of several bus routes in the Fort Myers / Fort Myers Beach area.
RSW Airport
RSW is the airport in and out of southwest Florida and how I get to Fort Myers.
